One Of A Kind Weddings
at nigh river farms
Nigh River Farms is a private estate wedding venue in Elizabethtown, North Carolina designed for couples who want more than a date on a calendar. Set across 60 acres, it offers the kind of space and stillness most venues can’t, not just in square footage, but in feeling. Centered around a restored 1700s white home and a custom-built black reception structure, the property blends heritage with modern architecture in a way that feels editorial, grounded, and entirely its own.
With six guest suites, oak-lined drives, café-lit patios, and curated landscaping, the estate is a full weekend setting that invites presence, connection, and intentional celebration. From the French mahogany doors to the antique fixtures, every detail has been chosen with purpose. It’s not about over-the-top luxury — it’s about thoughtful beauty that speaks without shouting.
What makes Nigh River truly one-of-a-kind is how it respects both the moment and the people shaping it. This is not an all-inclusive venue, and it’s not meant to be. Instead, it’s a space that trusts creative teams, planners, and couples to bring their vision to life with support, flexibility, and a high-design canvas. Built by someone who understands hospitality from the inside out, Nigh River was created with an unwavering focus on experience — the kind that feels personal, polished, and deeply rooted in story. It’s not just a place to get married. It’s the kind of place people remember being invited to.

The Highlights
Originally built in the 1700s, the white-columned residence is the soul of Nigh River Farms. It features six private guest suites, each styled with understated Southern elegance and modern conveniences. Thoughtfully restored, the home is more than a backdrop; it’s a retreat. It’s where the wedding party settles in, where parents sip coffee on the porch, and where intimate moments unfold with ease.
The house becomes your personal estate the morning of your event, offering space to settle in, slow down, and savor the calm before the celebration. From portraits on the staircase to champagne in the sitting room, the home naturally anchors your day.
While we plan to build two dedicated getting-ready suites separate from the main house, they may not be ready for our Fall 2026 opening. In the meantime, couples are welcome to use any of the six rooms inside the home for getting ready.
In addition to overnight accommodations, two flexible breakout rooms are also available, making the estate well-suited for small corporate retreats or creative gatherings.

Anchoring the celebration is The Reception Hall, a striking black building with modern lines, warm wood details, and a soft, neutral interior palette. Inside, off-white walls, black grid retractable windows, and custom French mahogany doors create an editorial yet welcoming atmosphere. The space is refined but not formal—designed to feel curated without ever feeling overdone.
The Reception Hall accommodates up to 150 guests for a seated dinner. A custom bar, crafted from trees harvested on the property, anchors the space and opens seamlessly to the outdoor cocktail patio. Expansive windows offer natural light by day and reflect the glow of evening candlelight.
A second adjoining hall, connected by a pergola, is in development and will serve as a space for dancing, indoor ceremonies (up to 150), smaller receptions, and corporate events. This addition will provide even more flexibility for hosting your weekend with ease—versatility is at the heart of what Nigh offers.
For larger gatherings, The Pastures provide ample space for tented receptions, outdoor ceremonies, or open-air celebrations under the stars. For events under 150 guests, the Reception Hall remains a beautiful backup option in case a tent isn’t needed.
